NBS Completes SOC 1 and SOC 2 Examinations

National Benefit Services, LLC (NBS) takes seriously its commitment to clients that they will experience excellence through trust, innovation, service, and partnership.  A demonstration of this commitment is the successful completion of SOC examinations.

NBS has completed the following examinations for 2019:

  • SOC 1 Type 2
  • SOC 2 Type 2

The independent certified public accounting (CPA) firm, Tanner, LLC, performed the examinations and issued the corresponding reports in accordance with the attestation standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The reports show NBS has an established framework for internal controls that facilitates accountability and security, allowing clients and partners to obtain an objective evaluation of compliance, operations, and financial reporting controls.  Our SOC 1 audit verifies we maintain sound internal controls and effective policies and procedures relating to our retirement and cafeteria benefit plan administration and transaction processing.  Our SOC 2 audit provides assurance that our controls satisfy the AICPA’s trust criteria of security and system availability.
